another headlight question
hi! i have a 90 coupe and the drivers side headlight opens only halfway--light points straight down to the ground.i can use the manuel opener to finish opening it and then they will close with no problem. the right side works fine. the guy i bought the car from told me that he had all new gears and bushings put in just before i got the car.does anyone have any advice on what's wrong and how to repair it myself? ----i really enjoy the forum and have learned a lot about my corvette by reading it.thanks a lot!-----john

On a recent post a guy found that the rod running through the gear box had stripped splines and so would not properly engage the gears.
If you find this you have two options, 1) buy a new/used motor & gears, 2) have a local machine shop make a new drive rod.
At this point you need to pull that motor and open up the gear box to see what's up inside.
