On the back of the heads on my 94 is a coolant crossover tube. I ended up destroying mine along with one of the Banjo bolts on dissasembly. GM says this part is no longer available. Neither are the Banjo bolts or the rubber washers. (unbelievable!) I posted looking for a used one in the for sale section. In case I cant find one has anyone else solved this problem? How? What did you use for washers?
Thanks
Roy

I never even checked on availability of the sealing washers. I didn't like their design and simply used copper washers and have had no problems for many miles now. Certain types of diesel engines use similar types of banjo fittings in their fuel systems. If you could find a place in your area that rebuilds diesel injection pumps (a specialty) you may be able to get some fittings with nipples and finish up with hose. Also they're more often connected to steel tubing which could be cut and refitted with hose or whatever's needed. Some engines that come to mind that use these are Hino, Mitsubishi, UD, Izusu, Iveco (now defunct I think) and some older, pre-electronic Internationals and Cummins. I've got some of this stuff at work that I use for fuel system testing. I need to compare it to the fittings and bolts on the LTx engines and see what matches up. I've meant to do this for some time, ever since I heard that these parts were no longer in production for our cars.
Keep at it Chris! I also destroyed mine pulling the block. I was thinking about trying to use some AN fittings and braided stainless. I would be interested though if there are any other parts that will fit the bill and bolt right up.
i haven't had a reason to have mine removed yet so i am not sure of the size. tell me the inside and outside diameter of the copper ring and i will send you a couple for free. i am a tractor dealer and we have plenty of sizes to choose from. i also have contacts for banjo bolts, not sure if they will have it but i would be willing to ask...
