Help with removing rear knuckle needed

Default Help with removing rear knuckle needed

Hello,I folowed the dirrections in my Haynes manual and it still seems to be held on by something.Does the U joint have to be undone or something?The manual says that it will slide off the spindle but it wont even budge

What have you taken off?We need more info...what you removed or taken off will help us give better ideas what to do next.

You need to remove the 3 T-55 torx bolts that thread into the backside of the bearing.... 1 lower camber arm bolt, 2 control arm bolts, 1 spring bolt, 1 sway bar end link bolt, lower shock nut, spindle nut and pin, and toe/tie rod nut, and unhook ebrake cable.

So if you have 8 bolts and 8 nuts removed, pull.

The bearing is connected to the knuckle so why should it not come out as one unit?

If the halfshaft/yoke is still stuck in there,and you removed everything,youre prob gonna need to use a Puller to push the yoke out of the bearing.Thats all I can think of since Im not entirely sure in my head what you did/didnt remove.

Thanks for correcting me. The bearing splines might just be sticking to the axle with surface rust.

Yes everything is removed except for the bearing .Here comes the puller and some PB Blaster
