Default Anyone recommend a good rotor

I put drilled/slotted rotors on my 1995 LT1 about 1000 miles ago. I started to feel some pulsing in the brakes and checked out the rotors to find my driver's rear rotor cracked in 4+ places. I use Hawk HPS pads and love to push the car pretty hard now and then. Can someone recommend a good non drilled/slotted rotor?

thanks in advance,
Phil

If you want the cross-drilled/slotted look the the Eradispeed are great. I've had them for several thousand miles w/o any problems.

UMMMMM.... he said he cracked his drilled/slotted rotor in 4 places and therefore wants ones that aren't drilled. I'd go back to stock rotors, unless you're fading them, that's exactly what you need for driving the car hard.

go to rockauto.com and buy the cheapest rotors they got. about $35 or so. They work the best, and take the most abuse.

For street use, the cheapest thing you can find at any auto parts store should be fine.

Thanks for the info. I was looking at rockauto but couldn't decide between acdelco or raybestos...i'll probably go with acdelco. Last question...Do I need rotors for "HD BRAKES"? I went through this before and thought in 1995 all vettes had larger brakes? I assume the HD brakes are the 13" front rotors instead of 12".

thanks again,

I believe you are correct; that 95-96 came with the 13" HD front rotors as standard.

I used a set of NAPA rotors and have had good luck with them.

There was a link not long ago that was very interesting, especially it's theory about the source of brake pulsation. PS; it ain't from rotor warpage or cracking.....
