the biggest problem, as I see it, is electronic. The engine is very similar to the L98, in a structural way... however, the electronics are TOTALLY different.
If you decide to make this change, get a 1992 (better transmission) or a 94 on up (better engine management)... and, if you are going with a Corvette engine, get the engine and ZF6spd as a single package.
I am sure others will chime in with more information. There are others who HAVE done this conversion.
