So nobodys using a monoblade on a 406, anybody using it at all?
I have a monoblade on a 398ci LTx engine. To be honest, I'm not sure that it helps over a regular 58m TB. We made the change and had other issues so we couldn't tell for sure. The car yesteday on the dyno made 472 rwhp SAE and over 460 rwhp @ 7000 rpm. it's the higher rpm where it would help if any.
A bigger TB won't help unless the engine needs more air but they won't hurt anything so I didn't try switching back to the 58mm TB.
If someone will tell me how to post the dyno sheet I'll post it.
I noticed a huge difference from my 52mm. I don't have any before or after times or numbers to prove it but the SOTP is one of the most noticeable mods. Gotta be up there with gears or a small shot of nos.

Then again my motor was screaming for more air.
377 with a big vortech T trim.
Don't know if your 406 will benefit the same?
Thats awesome. My 52 is literally about to fall apart and i've been thinking about porting the stock intake and using a monoblade. I lost my ported intake when I sold another motor (duh) so i'm still running a bone stock LT1 intake.
, I guess you guys found the missing power ....Still using that LT4 intake?
really only needed w/ big cubes and high rpm
Yep, I'll e-mail ya the dyno sheet. Still LT4 intake.
The issue holding us back was a combination of springs and header leak from having the headers port matched to the exhaust ports. Trust me... I'll not do that again.
The next move is going to the Victor Jr or sheet metal intake. Don't think it will make 500 rwhp, but close.
I also heard you did pretty good also. Congratulations!!
