Default when cold my 86 l-98 has problems

see if you guys can help me, my 86 L-98 when cold has no throttle response when cold, is there a temp sensor that affects the mixture that i need to replace? the only way i can explain it is on a carb. style car when a accelerator pump doesnt work.

It could be the ECT sensor. Do you have any codes set? If not, go ahead and test the ECT sensor.

Code 14 or 15 engine coolent tempeture sensor(ECT)

if it were would the coolant temp sensor bad would my temp gauge work? the gauge is working

just put a good fuel pressure gauge on it today at idle and under 2500 i have 20-25 psi when i stab it the press falls to 15- 10 psi. from what i've read here thats a problem. i've going to do the filter first and then the pump if needed

You are on the right track. It is probably a bad pump or restricted sock or filter. Troubleshoot before swapping parts. It always works out cheeper!

I hope you plugged the vaccum line when you disconected it before you took your presure readings ,on the regulator.

HOLLY F'N CRAP WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!!!!! i'm a mopar guy but this car is sooo much fun to drive when it runs right. turns out the fuel pump was junk and causing all the problems. never thought the pump would be easier to change then the filter.
