Dave looks good. I had the same vacuum pump, but was trying to make it work off the crank....did not think of putting it up there and eventually sent it back, since I did not have the time to mess with trying to make it work....got me thinking again now....
550rwhp is going to be pretty stout to achieve with a low compression 427CI motor, that would be 660 motor hp assuming 20% through the drivetrain...

Yup. When I said I should make 550hp, I meant at the flywheel. If I were talking about rear-wheel, I'd say 550RWHP. Yea, 550RWHP would be awesome. I think I'd probably have to resort to some kind of power adder to get there; nitrous or blower or turbo or rocket science or whatever.
Hey, that reminds me... This is risking highjacking my own thread, but I just posted a link on the website to a magazine article about the guy who builds the engines I sell (and he built the engine in my Vette). Jeff Dickey is his name. Here's the link:
He won this competition, which is huge bragging rights for him. I'm proud of him.
EDIT: Actually, after reading the article more closely, I'm not sure he won. Jeff came back saying he'd won. He made the most hp. But, reading the article they say they factor in cost and idle vacuum. So, I guess the jury is still out (unless Jeff already knows he won the combined total).

Dave did you have spacing issues or stack up issues with the McLeod TOB # 1345?
I am going to pull my Centerforce DF II Single mass setup out next weekend and I want to go back to the McLeod TOB with a push type clutch.
Larry,
It's been awhile, but the way I remember it, the McLeod comes with some pretty specific instructions on measuring your clearances. My stuff just happened to fall within the allowed limits. "I'd rather be lucky than have a license to steal"
