Front bump stops?

Front bump stops?
Am I missing something or are there no bump stops on the front of my '92? I want to measure the front suspension travel before I lower it and don't see the typical rubber bumpers for when the suspension bottoms out. Please explaine if you are familiar with this area.

Inside the shock. That is, underneath the uppercover. Theres a hole that you can poke a long drill bit through to push the rubber stop out.
