My Helms shows the starter interupt relay to be activated by VATS. There is a starter interupt on the gear selector switch that prevents a start in other than Park or Neutral. Is that what you are looking for?

If you're referring to the neutral safety switch, mine's under the shifter console cover.
Kind of a pain to get to since a dash panel has to be removed, then the console cover and shifter ****.

VATS refers to the chipped key starting in 86.
The starter interrupt relay is on all c4s and activated by the theft deterent module.
On the 85, it's behind the DIC, it's mounted sideways with 2 screws. The other sideways one to the left of it is the door lock relay.
