Default Advanced Induction Heads ?

Im considering their stage two CNC ported LT1 heads, intake and custom grind Comp cam. Anyone ever use these guys? Im looking at $1600 for all three parts. LS1 speed Inc will install it with 3 dyno pulls for $1650. Im around $3500. This sound right to you guys? 2 more questions: Do I need a larger TB or injectors with this set up? Ive been told by Alvin at PCMforless that I need to stay under 230 exhaust duration to get by ILLinois emissions. Would a cam with say 224/228 duration be more aggressive then the hotcam? I have a 93 : 3.73, 2400 stall,corsa,shorties,1.6rr,behive . All advice is appreciated www.advancedinduction.com

I've just been in contact with these guys. They seem quite good but I'm interested in results too. Write them and they will give you their own recommendations.

LT4POWR on this forum runs AI heads on his LT4. Oh by the way.... he makes 416rwhp on stock 350 ci motor. I'd say they work.

Also, check out Lloyd Elloit at www.eportworks.com - The F-body guys swear by him, and the results of his heads/cam packages are impressive.

Both Ai and Lloyd Elliott (LE) are good choices for head/cam setups. My advice would be to call/e-mail both and then decide which you feel best about. Make sure they are aware of your cam requirements, existing valvetrain, goals, budget, etc. FYI – I’m running Ai heads and a LE cam Cam overlap will determine emissions. Your probably okay on injectors, but check your duty cycle. I'd get the stock TB ported to 52mm and an airfoil. Also, remember peak flow numbers are sales driven, so don’t pay a whole lot of attention to them when shopping around. Make sure you get a flow sheet, build sheet, and specs on everything. Good Luck

I wish I would have went with a larger cam than the LT4 hotcam.....So to answer your question the 224/228 would be more aggressive.

Make sure you get a flow sheet, build sheet, and specs on everything like he said. I would also find some guys running different people setups and how they feel about it. Cost should also be a determining factor as well.

Another company that offers LT1 packages that I haven't seen listed is More performance. They have had several write ups in magazines crediting there work. You can check them out at www.moreperformanceinc.com. I think there stage III heads flow around 270CFM and have excellent mid lift numbers. Just a thought.

Great advice guys. I dont know much about what the flow #s mean but I would expect to have at least 350 rwhp with the set up Im considering. AIs price seems very good as the cam comes with the set up. If you guys get a chance check out the AI web site. Its in the first thread. Go under LT1 products then down to 180cc street/strip. Do you think with 350rwhp will help me keep up with the newer C6? I do have Nitto Drgs 315s on back. Stock I ran a 13.8 with 1.9 60' at 103 350 rwhp would have to equal 415 chp. Right?
