I'm sure this has been covered before, but are the speed density cars faster? My manual actually shows 315 HP for the car. My best time was a 13.5@106. The car has a powerfx exhaust, and TPIS intake. I ran the car at a Vette night at the track and everyone was looking to see where the nitrous was...anyway just wondering if the non MAF cars are typically faster.

Naw, they're all 300hp LT1's...just sounds like you have a wednesday car. OAN, if they were looking for nitrous on a 13.5 pass...they must be on crack. With the 106mph trap speed, that's REAL strong and plenty capable of cracking off a 12 second slip.

Derck
Its pretty obvious the 93 M6 Fbodys are quicker than the rest. ( i think due to the gearing) I see many of them run 13.20's with almost nothing at all done.
But overall I think the 92-93 LT1's I think have an advantage being speeddensity...

Arrr yes, but 94-96 have sequencial injection, and 5 more FT/LBS !!
Mr.Mojo's stock 95 6-speed runs 13.0's at 108 in the winter and 13.4's in the summer. My 17 year old son first time out ran a 13.6 at 103 in my 95 6-speed in 90+ heat this summer. I've ran a 13.7 (terrible 60's 2.2+) a couple of summers ago but my trap speeds were between 104-106.
I dont believe the air flow meter design makes any difference or even has an influence in power at full throttle.

Very true about my car. However my '93 automatic when it was completely stock ran 13.37@102.
After the gear swap(3.45's) and torque converter change(2800 stall),drag radials and no other changes(except for front skinnies)it went a best of 12.50@108.
Recently this summer, it averaged 12.75-13.10 depending on the weather. Average MPH was about 105.
