Default Hood prop rod

The prop strut? (the cartridge the holds open the hood) hits my A/c compressor. It only happens when I turn hard to the right. Since I also like to turn left this is a problem. Motor mount bad? Anybody have a suggestion? BTW it's a 96 with an LT4.

sorry, couldn't resist. Its not the prop rod that is loose instead, is it? I'd think the engine would move more from reving than cornering.
just a shot in the dark. »keith

I've checked the shock for looseness. Tried to adjust the top mount outboard as far as possible. I guess this isn't a common problem or it's not interesting enough to answer? I thought for sure somebody would be able to give me some insite, all my other questions have been answered from this forum. Oh well I'll keep looking.

Check the engine mounts.
