Is the intake manifold, plenum and the tubes - the same on the 87's and the 89's?
I have a friend who has a set off a 1987 L98 --------- I own a 1989 L98. If the 89 and 87 will swap - I want to do some polishing and detailing work to the 87 TPI and then when finished swap them onto mine, so I would have very little downtime for driving.
As complete units they interchange , if you are not worried about the cold start.
However the later manifolds don't have the idle air passages (see hole behind TB on '87 plenum)
so early plenum / runners will work on late base but not the other way around as no idle air ports on late setup.
(Tube on runner drivers side missing on '89 runner.)
Reconditioned was about $100 at Speed and Performance - www.hotrodlane.cc. I bought some about 4 years ago and they look new. For more bucks, you can have them polished or chrome.

I have 24 lb injectors on my engine (heads cam intake exhaust). It says on engine with 300 + hp you should use 24.9, could this cause power loss if not?

If you are running the stock tune (chip) you need to stop and contact Alvin at PCMfroless.com and get that thing tuned ASAP. He's one of the best in the country and I'm driving one of his tunes in the 86.
I had it tuned and i took it to the dyno and the power was low, alot lower than expected. I mailed alvin my dyno and he said there wasnt much that could be done, he said the dyno looked smooth.
