Default Questions on e-Tec Heads - Any problems?

Looking to upgrade my '86 L98 with e-Tec heads - notice the plugs are different - any problems with headers or exhaust - if there are problems any good solutions?

Also any reason why these wouldn't be good heads for a street only motor focused on torque (the 170cc version)?

If this is the "Vortec" type head, it will require a new intake manifold base.

I have the Fast burns. What turned me off of the edelbrocks was the spark plug boot clearance with headers. For the $ just go with the AFR 180/195 l98 replacement heads.

I you have the aluminum heads, i'd put the dollars into the intake first.

Do know what their max cam lift is? Im asking because i have the standard vortec heads and my max lift is only .474 which is not a very high lift from stock, so if you want a bigger cam look into that before you buy the heads. I think the e-techs where set up for somthing like .550 but im not sure.
