Default ECM 7165 Data logging.

Anyone out there using a 7165 ECM and data log. 7165 suck for data logging, because they don't always give feed back. It's not a software or even hard issue. It's the 7165 ECM not giving feed back. Is there a tip on how to get it to give consistant feed back?

I'm currenty using datamaster(software) and a craig moates USB OBD1 cable with the 10k resistor.

Thank You.

Never had a problem getting the 165 ECM to communicate. Check all of your connections and maybe even try a different laptop if you can.

I attribute my issues to the USB cable. Those using a serial cable
tend to wonder what the issue is. I'll be building or buying a replacement
for my USB.
