Default Best forged stroker kit for the $?

What do you guys think? I am thinking of doing a forged stroker bottom end to give me enough room for upgrades and possibly leaning towards a shot of NOS to help out the higher end HP?

What are you guys' recommendations for a good forged stroker kit for the $?

If it's an LT1/LT4 I would recommend Scoggin Dickey. I had a friend put one of these in his Grand Sport and it was a beast on a road course.

I used a Scat kit..............they were very nice pieces for the money. The rod profile was so nice I didn't need to clearance my pan rails at all and they clear the .990 base circle cam easily. In retrospect, I might've gotten by with a standard base cam.

My stroke is 3.875.........part numbers are in my photos

I am looking for an L98 style block. Not sure if that will make any difference.

I would not really worry about getting it in kit form. A good crank and rod for the money is the eagle stuff, but if you want it to stand up to a lot of abuse then you will want to run something like a Callies or Oliver crank and a 300m Manley rod or better. For a street strip engine the eagle bottom ends do well.

Both Scat and eagle make a 383 kit and if you want a little better quality you can go with a Callies crank and something like an oliver rod with SRP or JE pistons.

I would like to find a kit that is pretty much completed, installed, balanced, etc since I want it done right. (I dont have too much confidence in myself this time, 1 blown engine under my belt....ahhh)

If I buy the components, trustworthy shops maybe to assemble and balance the assembly in Ventura/LA area?

for the cheapest, call scott shafiroff racing, they will ship for free and no tax, for the same eagle kit that you can buy at summit or scoggin dickey. They will also intall it for a little more money, and still ship it back to you for free. Of course you still have to pay to send them your bare block.
