you will need:
zf 6-speed transmission with bellhousing, dual mass flywheel, clutch, master cylinder-hydraulic line-slave cylinder assembly, shifter assembly, output yoke, cluth and brake pedals assy. some of your automatic connectors will have to be converted to the manual connectors. then you will have to cut your floorpan as the zf is wider at the rear of the trans for clearance. depending on year, the console top is different from the automatic. can anyone else think of anything?
Keep in mind with your 2 piece rear main (provided it still is), you will have a non-standard swap going to the ZF6. I believe Centerforce sells the custom flywheel needed. From there you will need additional parts to finish the job, most of which will not come from a ZF6 swap kit you'll typically find on ebay. CentralCoaster recently did a ZF6 swap into his 85 and has run across all the problems you likely will, so if he does not chime in, might want to PM him.
Good luck... It should be pretty straight forward. For me, the hardest part of the swap was contorting myself under the dash to hang the new pedals, followed real close by getting the trans to mate with the engine. Trying to jocky a 150lb hunk of metal on your back is not exactly easy!
