You shouldn't have any trouble with 18x10.5's in the rear as long as you select your offset properly. I'm running 8.25" offset, so I'm guessing your's would need to be something like 7.25" (you'll probably want to double check this ). The fit looks tight, but my rear tires completely clear the rim of the outer wheel well with no rubbing at all. All of my rubbing problems were with the inside of the tire rubbing the trailing arms, brake line bracket, etc, and with your having an inch more space than I did, you shouldn't have any problem at all in that area. Like I said before, there are plenty of guys running 17x11's on stock C4 coupes with no problems whatsoever. Your wheels will be thinner than that, and the extra wheel height will most likely be averaged out by the use of a tire with a shorter side wall. My speedo is still right on the money as tested vs. my girlfriend's Mustang out on the interstate highway.

My car was lowered at least an inch by the previous owner (not sure exactly how much). I was forced to raise the inner wheel well liner in the rear wheel wells to keep my tires from rubbing up against them when traveling over the roughest of bumps (the occasional Louisiana pothole, etc). I did this by simply removing the bolts, pushing the liner up an inch or so, and drilling a new set of bolt holes in the liner just below the original ones.

Depending on the specifics of your setup, you might have to do one or more of these mods, but my guess is that your car will handle the 18x10.5's without any neccessary mods whatsoever. As for the front tires, I've seen guys go with 18x10 and bigger with no modifications to the front wells. There's apparently more room in the front than there is in the back!

Given the age of this thread, I'm guessing they're the kind that are chiseled out of stone.
