Need help with 1992 ignition problem...

I have a 1992 Corvette C4. I was told by the dealer that the distributor was bad, and after replacing it twice I still have the same problem. The car will crank, but it will not start. There are 5 error codes that the computer has determined: H32, H34, H36, H38, H42. H42 is the only code that will cause a no start condition, and I believe it is related to the coil

Any ideas how to troubleshoot?

Sorry for my 2 cents but I would try a replacement coil and go from there....That's the only REAL way to find out

make sure you give the parts store or dealer your vin # . there are several different part number opti-spark . your cars computer will not talk to the opt-spark if you have the wrong one. also I have had alot of bad from stock units.

Thanks, it sounds like you are right on target. I followed the trouble shooting procedures, and narrowed it down to either a bad wire from the ECM to the coil, or a bad coil. The good news is that the ECM checked out okay.
