Basic Exhaust x-pipe questions
'92 LT-1 383. Magnaflow Cats, Borla Mufflers, stock (?) center muffler.
Apologies for this post - I am a bit new to exhausts and have a couple of very basic questions. I have a modified exhaust system and the center muffler is starting to fall apart. This is the muffler that sits between the cats and the rear Borlas.
I am thinking about replacing the center muffler with an x-pipe, and I want to keep the magnaflow cats and Borla rears. The questions are:
1. Could this cause me emission problems
2. Will I have to re-tune, or will the limited range of the ECM be able to accommodate the change
3. Will this make the car too loud to be comfortable on long cruises (I realise this is subjective)
4. Any suppliers make a reasonably priced stainless x-pipe?

this may not help much,but here is a couple pics of my home made 3" with bassani cats,x-pipe and race magnum mufflers.It is fairly tame but when the rpm gets above 3500 it screams http://www.putfile.com/bytebloc
