Where can I order a set of engine mounts for a reasonable price and get them SOON? I am at a standstill on my project until I get some mounts. I can't find mine anywhere. No one local has them, and they all say it will be a week before they can get them.
Anyone know of a good place online with reasonable prices that ships FAST?
I get on an Impala forum also. All the guys there use a guy named Dal. I've ordered some stuff through him. Great prices and fast shipping. If GM makes it, Dal can get it.
If you're in a hurry, why don't you just run to the nearest auto supply store? It's just a durned old Chevy engine mount. They probably have at least a dozen of them on the shelf in every parts house in the US.

Good luck,
Thats what I figured - but every time they look it up they all have said "it's at least a week or two away". Maby their computers only look up the Corvette application. Do you know for sure it it's the same as a camaro, monte carlo, etc...?
The l-98 vette mount is different. They are no yet(to my knowledge) available in the aftermarket. My dealer gets shipments daily. They were about $70 each last time I checked.
Well I guess I will have to do my best to get one of these size 12's in my mouth. Sure enough it is different. I am shocked. Why would they possibly want to use a different part. It bolts to the block and then a long bolt pins it to the frame. It's stupid for them to use something other than just a regular motor mount. Most every passenger car with a V8 has used the same mount since 1958. In fact, from 63 the sixes used the same mount I think. They just had a bracket that bolted to the six cylinder block and then took a regular V8 motor mount.
In engineering there's a phenomenon called Not Invented Here(NIH.) What this is all about is that it is common for engineers or an engineering group to want to reinvent things rather than use what is already available. It's an ego thing and costs companies Zillions of unnecessary dollars. I would be willing to bet that this phenomenon is buisy at work in Bowling Green.
Oh well. I sure hope I didn't cause anyone any trouble with my incorrect comment.
