I am thinking of going to a larger set of injectors as I MUST be maxing my 24lb ones out with the supercharger now. If I get a set of LS1 injectors 28lb I believe are they direct fit? Would they fit under the LPE Superram setup I have on here now? My other options also are a set of 30 or 36 lb Ford motorsport injectors.
I'm still working on my 86 heads, cam and supercharger, as with fuel supply I'm using 24lb matched flowed Ford blue tops.
Hi volume in tank pump and in line booster pump with the racetronix harness.
The LS1 injectors will work but you have to do a little trim job on them so the clips will work, and maybe grind the fuel rail boss down some.
I don't think you can get a good tune going over 30lb injectors with the stock ECM.

Actually I just realized that the LS1 injectors are rated @ 58PSI not our stock 35-43psi, so they wouldn't make much difference anyways..
I'm gonan tune the car to use the 24lb-ers I have in there now, we'll see if they work.. Should be ok.. Otherwise I'll probably just get a set of 30lb-ers from FMS over winter..
Nuke, I am using LS1s on my Superram.
It is tight as hell and I recommend hooking up the electrical connections before installing the plenum.
But they work with the only mod being using a dremel to extend the groove all the way around and allow the use of the clips.
Took a whoopping 5 minutes to do 8.
Also, yes, you are right about the pressure differences. At stock pressure they act as if they are 24.4lb/hr or 25lb/hr (I have heard different stories on this). BUT if you turn up the pressure with an AFPR, bingo 28lb/hr injectors.
Don't go by them being "LS1" injectors...they used a few different flow sizes in the LS1's. You need to get the mfg P/N for the injectors and look them up that way (for flow size).
They appear to work fine. A guy at SLP says they work fine on his 88. I will say in hindsight though, if the price isn't like it was for me (99$) I would just buy the correct FMS ones.
I had the LS1 injectors on my hotcamed LT1 and they worked great. I got them for $99 also and for that price you get a nice Bosch injector, hard to get a better deal. Also the mod as stated takes all of 5 min.
