1993 40 anniv.Corvette I have a electrical short that is killing the battery.
I believe it could be the motors for the headlights. When the 60 amp fuse is installed the left headlight motor spins for a short while. A strong spark can be seen and the battery will be dead in 2 days. Does anybody know how this can be traced or where a wiring schemetic can be found to help. what controls the timing of the motors and turns them on and off?

What's to trace? Fix the head light motor. As stated, there is a wiring schematic is in your factory service manual.
Are you happened to have a Optima battery? if it is than the battery is the problem. The top post is hitting the ecm bracket causing to drained the battery. I have optima on my 93 everything seems to work fine just awhile. All the certain my optima are weaker and weaker. I thought I have a bad optima. I brought the battery back to the store and have them checked. They told me I got a good battery. I then reinstall the battery the battery and found the top post + post is hitting the bracket that I some time hearing sparking noise but did not know where the heck the arcking noise come from. I put in a new battery without the top posts. Solved all my battery drain problems.
