rear caliper

i am in the process of replacing my rear rotors my question is do i need to remove the brake cable from inside the car or can i do it right from the caliper on my 88 vette

the cable should come off at the caliper. the mechanics, if I remember rightly, are part of the bracket, not so much the caliper.

It's been a while since I messed with them.

I have done this several times and there is no need to remove cables or tubing from caliper. It will move out of the way just fine..at least on my 88

No need to remove the parking brake cable from inside the car. Just remove the spring on the caliper with vice grips and you are on your way.
