The pre-owner of my car has installed some kind of lowering kit. I always thougt it whas to low and when I compare the ride hight of my firends C4ors ( that used lowering kits from ecklers etc ) my car is around 1 inch lower then theirs. So I thougt my shocks where out. But when I change my shocks to brand new ones the ride hight did not change.
What can the pre-owner have done to lower the car even more then what the kits allow? Can the springs be "out" ? There is nothing wrong in how the car handels, its just that its a bit to low for me :/
For the front, just jack the spring up at each end and put some packing under it, until you have the desired ride height. For the rear, just install shorter bolts that hold the outer ends of the springs.

The previous owner may have cut some of the rubber off of the pads on the spring ends. Case's suggestion will raise the car.

The rear can be raised simply by tightening the the nuts under the spring end on both sides. The aftermarket kits come with longer bolts and nuts with nylon inserts (nylock). Whether you've got factory castle nuts or nylocks, I'd put two on each spring bolt as jam nuts.
