Default optispark conversion

Is there a writeup with pictures for the opti conversion. I'm installing a gen II optispark on my 93 and I would like to know where the vacuum fitting goes on the intake as well as the harness adapter.

The vacuum fitting goes on the drivers side of the intake. You will have to put a "T" in for it.Not the brake booster line. The Harness is on the pass side there is a clip under the fuel rail covers in the center. The air fitting just drill a hole in the bellows and plug it in.Make sure the vaccum line has the filter and one way valve in it to prevent back pressure from going into the opti.

"Before you go out and buy a brand new 1995+ Optispark, be forewarned. You CANNOT bolt a 1995+ Optispark up to a 1992-1994 LT1. The CAM is different. You could change the CAM, timing cover, CAM gear, etc but this gets expensive, and is very labor intensive. "

here is a good write write up and some alternatives for your GenI Opti:

http://www.fierolt1.com/lt1_95_up_OptiReplace.htm

Here's a link showing how to convert your current weep holes into vacuum ports:

Finally, here's a good URL showing pics of the cam/cam gear/timing cover differences:

I understand the process of swapping. I have all the parts in front of me. Not sure I understand what a "T" is used. Forgive me. I do not know where the lines should go.

Here's the list of parts I recieved and I have no idea where they are to go

threaded vacuum fitting 14082470
harness adapter 12130319
opt vacuum harness 12555323

There are 2 vacuum lines out of the opti. One line you are saying I have to splice and tie it into with a T.... Which line? Second one, I have to drill a hole, thread the fitting and plug it in? Where on the intake. On this image, does it matter which vent hole is connected on the intake?

On the driver's side of the intake there is a vacuum fitting with an elbow on it. You can replace this with a T for the vacuum line to the opti. The other opti line goes to the bellows. You make a hole in it.

I forget which line is which (one to cap, one to base). If you go to the dynaspark website I think you can download their instructions which would tell you which is which.

On the hoses the one with the filter should have a splice at the end with a bigger ID hose that goes to the cap. That is the vacuum. The metal fitting goes into the other(I think3/16) hose that should an "L" on the end that will go into the bellows at a place you chose I just picked a spot after I routed everything. Some hose kits come with the extra clip some don't I hope you got it.It is supposed to be used on the Alt bracket but I could not attach it anywhere near there I ran my vacuum through the hole next to the throttle cable. I ran the air feed over the throttle linkage and used the clip to hold it there it looks good to me.

Here's how we spliced into the vacumn on the drivers side of the intake. And here's were the fresh air supply comes from..
