To make a long story short...I believe some little mice have been feeding on my 'original' throttle body coupler.
I'm the original owner of my '86...so it was with surprise when I lifted the hood, and saw this 1 inch diameter hole in the coupler. Oh well........
Wondering if there are any performance gains to be had from some of the 'after market' suppliers?
I'm thinking about adding some color under the hood. Are red colored couplers available for C4's?
Where to purchase? What would you suggest?
Waste of your time and money.Cant offer you anymore advise on the color ones though.Someone on here once bought a small orange rubber field or traffic cone and cut it to fit the TB and air cleaner.Maybe it was mackeyred96,not sure.It seems to have held up for them.
I used the power coupler from MAM. Yes, they crack a bit in about a years time, but every little bit helps, real or imagined .
Try using some teflon based silicone around the inside so when the motor torques it helps reduce the twisting motion which leads to the cracks.
The colored ones were made by Samco I believe. Dont know if they are still available. May take a group purchase effort such as the Z guys are doing now.
