Default ZF-6 into 85

I have a 95-96 ZF-6 trans, bellhousing from chevy crate motor, cultch master and slave and hose from 93. Can I use the stock clutch or do I need different parts? Your input is most welcome.

The stock clutch can't be used because there's no room for a throwout bearing or slave+fork to disengage it.

You need ZF6 clutch hydraulics, clutch set, and bellhousing.

My next ? Can I use a ZF-6 clutch with the 85 flywheel? If not would my options be?

Yes you can. The zf clutch and pressureplate surfaces are actually bigger diameter than the 85 FW, but bolt up fine.

Again thanks, Which clutch should I use 89-93 or 94-96, the trans is a 95-96 unit? In some of your earlier posts you mention spacers what are these? My car is stuck on my frends lift so trying to get all the parts together as fast as possible.

I used all 89 parts except the bellhousing and starter and it works great. Perfect clutch engagement.
