Exhaust Questions
I BOUGHT A 1996 VETTE IN AUG. I JUST GOT IT IN THE AIR TO LOOK THING OVER ON THE UNDER SIDE. I NOTICED THAT IT ONLY HAS ONE ITEM ON EACH EXHAUST PIPE. IT IS ONLY 6.5 INCHES ROUND AND 7.5 INCHES LONG. THERE IS NO " Y " PIPE OR " H " PIPE JUST 2 COMPLETELY SEPERATE EXHAUSTS GOING ALL THE WAY BACK. IS THIS A CAT. OR A MUFFLER? THE NUMBERS ON IT ARE RTU36, 135657, P/N25153070
IT ALSO HAS A " AC " ON IT, IS IT STOCK OR AFTER MARKET ?

Mufflers are in the back - they each sit on the sides of the spare tire holder (if your car has one)

This is not stock for sure........
stock has two cats feeding a single resonator, which looks like a "common" muffler in the middle.......if it is an LT4 there is an H-pipe after the resonator.....then out to two mufflers and exhaust tips..
