ECm Scanning Tuning Software
I recently purchased the cables to interface the ALDL connector to my laptop in order to scan or monitor engine functions but now I can't seem to find anyone who has the software. I have an 86 L98 with the stock ECm which I was under the impression that when I bought the cables was fairly easy to do and that there was free software out there.
Anyone have any suggestions and or experience with this?

There are several software programs available, some free, some not free. I am just getting started in the scanning and later will be tuning on the factory ECM/PROM. I have started out using WinALDL software, a free one, for scanning. There are several others. I have learned much from reading in the C4 Scan and Tune section. Put this post over there and also do some reading of the post in that section and you can learn lots.
