I'm involved in changing a dash out on a car right now and I'm looking for some small (like 1/4" or smaller) 12 volt LED's... I can't find any anywhere, I've got some from Radio Shack that are 1.5v but I'd have to use a big resistor to go down to it. The LED's will be for the turn-indicators, bright light indicator, and the CES light... Anybody have any ideas or suggestions?

Try Digikey electronics. www.digikey.com or 1-800-344-4539
They may have what you need.
Agreed, DigiKey will likely have what you need. If not, try Mouser, Allied and Newark. What you probably want is an LED that has a built-in dropping resistor (to limit the current) and is intended for use across a 12 volt circuit.
Alternatively, you can select any LED you like, and add your own dropping resistor to configure the LED to live happily across 12 volts. LEDs need a resistor (in series with them) to limit the current through them, or they'll not live long.
I purchased some from the net somwhere, for something like 100 for 20 bucks. they came with resistors. they were pretty small. I have done some work to a few other cars to change the dash colors out.
I am stepping out to lunhc right now, but I hope to return with a link. maybe some pics.

these come with the resistor needed to kick the 12 volts down so you dont blow the LED. the resistor is a lot smaller then the led and works well.
here is a celica dash I did some work on.
this was originally all orange and looked kinds gross with the green stereo etc.
here is a pic of the resistor taken from a Z06 web page. http://www.spdkilz.com/techtip.html
here are some tech tips on how to do these mods on a Z06.
I dont know how much help they will be, but you get the idea
