Rear Hatch Electrical problem?
I've been trying to finish up the interior restoration and have found that the rear cargo hatch releases on both doors work fine, but the switch in the center console refuses to work. The switch is good and I traced the wiring up under the dash with no luck. Anyone ever have any experiece with this cargo hatch issue?

Yes. Carefully remove console, "unscrew" switch and ensure the wire clips are attached correctly, or replace the wires if you find them crimped. If an automatic trans must be in P or N to activate switch. Manual I think neutral, hand brake? Try all combinations.

Still no luck, even if I by pass the switch the hatch still does nothing. Are there any other issues or conditions to look for? Like I said, the door relaeses work fine, its just the center console button.
