Default Open loop, closed loop, can you help me

I am having some idoling problems with my 96 and a LT4. It has a hot cam, hooker headers with power effects exhaust,it has been rebuilt due to a spun bearing, it has been bored out .30 over,I do have a 160 thermostate with a Hyperteck program on it now to operate the fans. The problem is it seem like it does not want to idol, it drops down to 4 to500 after it gets warmed up. This problem has just started since it got cold it seem like. Some one said it may be "open loop" Dont know what all of that is! Do you know what that is and is that the problem?

Thats the problem then, There are alot of things a tune can do for you. Timing and fuel changes as well as simply raising the idle up a bit can make the car drive like it came from the factory equipped with a hotcam.

i'm getting a little hesitation at idle with my '90 L98 aswell, i should get a tune up done. Was wondering how much they cost and if i should have the dealership...(prolly not...) or someone who specializes in tune ups... i'm guessing a dealership would be more familiar with tpi and all that weird stuff in the vette

but yeah...right out of highschool, price?

while I'm here: they say trans. fluid should be changed every 50k? i'm at 43k just a quicky.
