Default Thinkin' about my suspension...

I'm not particularly happy or unhappy with my current suspension, but...

What are the feelings about coil over setups? Worth the money? Priced out the Mr. Daves QA1 solution (Mr Dave, what did you do for tophats?)

Qty Part number desc.
002 HAL-10-250 250# springs $36.88/each
004 HAL-SS110SDM Studs for top of all 4 shocks $32.99/each
004 HAL-DR4855P shocks $152.39/each
002 HAL-UPR350 T-Bars for front bottom shock mounts $22.99/each
002 HAL-10-350 350# springs $36.88/each
001 HAL-T114W spring adjustment tool $16.95/each

Comes out to about $1000...

Seen other sites:
http://www.dougrippie.com/drm/suspension_components.htm
$1800
http://www.upfronttechnologies.com/c...fm?ID=COILOVER
$1895

Benefits? Worth the money? Should I just go with konis and stock?

Thanks,
Jeff

That is a very popular option... one I intend to investigate as soon as I have the $$$.

It will ride better... that's for sure.

Does this include provisions for beefing up the front shock mounts, top and bottom?

The front shock mounts on these cars, (and maybe rear too) were not designed to carry the car's weight.

Ride better is pretty subjective... :-) I have the DRM full extragrip w/ bushings & revised 4 link & camber mounts, cut rear knuckles etc. Smooth road it it awsome, rough road... well slow speeds are jarring, but get speeds up & it can actually make roads that are a killer in my little dodge truck feel okay. The packages & align specs they give seem to really take all the wandering & skittering behavior away. It is stable & predictable.

That's $500 cheaper than the quote that I got. All I know is that these KYB's are worthless are high-speed corners. Floats like a boat. One of my next upgrades.
