Default Am I asking for trouble?

Will I risk spring damage if I go with 1.6 Crane roller rockers on my 94 LT-1 with 217,000 miles? I believe stock is 1.5 and I didn't know if the 1.6 would stress the springs. Thanks for the input, Robert

I wouldnt do it.Your valve guides are probably somewhat worn and I wouldnt increase anything without head and spring work. Not on a car with that mileage.

I was thinking it wasn't too good of an idea, but thought I would toss it out there to see what others thought as well. Thanks, Robert

I ran them on my L98 for about 5 years before a minor ring/valve job. stock springs were toast & so were stock guide plates at rebuild time. Otherwise... I had 5 years of more fun/power & doubt wear had THAT much to do w/ the rockers.

Think of it as a little step forward for when you do the real rebuild. You won't have to buy the rockers then, already have em & re-install.

Just my $.02 & perspective on performance parts...
