Lets see your quick-disconnect battery switch..

I'm gonna install one of these, but they don't seem to favor the side post battery. I found a knife switch disconnect at an RV shop, but something of the twist variety is better IMO.

For some reason, the top post style is easier to locate
locally but I have seen the side post versions at
speed shops occasionally - always over-priced.
Mid-America has both styles (link).
I see they are also available on eBay, but at only a
buck less than Mid-America, I'd say get it from M-A
(and pick up a bunch of other stuff from them, too.
Mid-America has always treated me right.)

One or two turns of the **** on mine opens the
circuit.
My old version of this disconnect would separate
into two pieces. A more recent one is staked in
such a way that the halves always remain together.
Let me know what you settle on.
