Need Pke Help
96 corvette. When I purchased car key fob didn't work.So I went 2 the dealer and bought a new one.Once programmed it only unlock's passenger door and hatch.Driver's door does nothing when I walk away or get closer.Any advice would be much appreciated!!!!

There is almost no scenario I can think of that will cause the others to auto open and not the drivers door if it DOES lock and unlock with both interior switches and locks and unlocks with the key. Can you please double check before going any further? It MUST unlock and lock (BOTH) with the key and interior switch. Listen for noise when you activate it with the PKE.

Just went out and tried both doors lock and unlock with the switch and the key.When I turrn the switch on the pke light does not come on.Tried to turn it on but no matter what i do the pke light dosen't come on unless I go through the reprogramming steps.When I hit the key fob it does make noise in the drivers door but only passenger side unlocks.When I walk away it does not lock doors or sound the horn.Thank's for the quick response!!!

First make sure the cars battery is COMPLETELY FULL. I have had problems at 12.0 volts with the PKE not operating the drivers door, the car will crank fine but not work the PKE...I know wierd. FULLY charge the cars battery, turn the PKE system on / off ..reprogram if nessessary and try again. If the problem still persists, I say you have a binding lock rod in drivers door - pull panel and inspect, or a door lock actuator going bad...again pull door panel and replace. The actuator switch on your driver side has a rod that goes to the lock, the clip on the actuator is either broken or the clip came loose.

Thank's for the reply I've inspected everything in the door and it checks out.I just can't get the Pke light to come on when the switch is on.Tried everything everyone has told me 2 turn it on but no luck!Only time it comes on is during programming.

I just wwent through troubleshooting PKE per the helms manual. My problem turned out to be two wires from the right door did not connect to the left door. The troubleshooting flow chart looked like my PKE was bad, but it was the wires! I bought a new PKE "Remote Control Receiver" for $358.00 from Chevy dealer. Be very sure before you buy one. If you need one let me know, I have one to sell.
There is a way to read trouble codes from the PKE, check the shop manual but I THINK connecting pins A to H will flash out trouble codes for the PKE.?????
