Catalytic converters.
I have an 85 z-51 4+3 modified with large tube runners ported plenum, intake, heads and TPIS long tube headers and a very low restriction catback system
The cam ( hydraulic flat tapet) is relatively large 221/230 @ .05 and lobe sep 112 degrees.
I have a Catco converter what is called high performance. I suspect it restricts the engine a bit. I have 300+ hp.
I am thinking of buying a Random Technoøogy cat.
Does anybody know if there is a difference in the flowrate between the Catco and Random Tech.???? Is itworth the cost??
That would rock.
As for cost, the RT bullets are about $150 each, whereas the Carsound cats are a bit cheaper and just as good. Carsound is made by Magnaflow.
