That's the site, where I found them. I had them on my '96 mustang, and I ALWAYS got compliments on it. My only worry is that I am trying to keep my car stock for when I want to sell it again (more $$ for me, I'm hoping) and I don't want to take away from the value.
The module on my Mustang got friend, after my brother needed to borrow the car to take his driving test in (which he never did.. jerk..) so I miss having it. I love the attention
Do you think that if I went to sell the car, people would look at it and say, "Some idiot kid had this.." even though it's true? lol I'm good at wiring, so I'm not worried that I'd eff it up.
Is your car virgin stock now? will it be a Bloomington Gold? Just kidding. I know some people like to buy Vettes that are totally stock, but my opinion is do what makes you happy. I have been thinking about the sequentials myself and I'm far from a kid driver. I know my car will never be a collector and I also know I have no intention of selling it anytime soon, or within the next 100k miles, so a little bit of kustom won't hurt the resale.
Have Fun
Back in the sixties, Mercury Cougars had sequential tail lights from the
factory. They looked very cool then, and still look cool now.
I think the Thunderbird had them before the Cougar. The first actuator
was a mechanical series of cams and switches, later updated to an
electronic (transitorized?) device.
The 'California Special' version of the Mustang had wide custom rear
tail lights which might have been sequential, too. Not sure about
the later Shelby's.
The link shows them on a current Mustang with three bulbs per side.
Looks good to me. It is just that the C4 doesn't have three+ bulbs
(and has no heritage of sequential lighting.)
yes, the t-bird got them in 1961, and had them through 1971 or so.
The cougar got them in 1967, through 1972 or so.
The Shelby's did have it, through the end of the run... 1970 or so. The new 1971 Stangs sucked, and Shelby didn't have anything to do with it. for that matter, Shel and Ford parted ways in 1968 or so.
Personally, I have always wanted to do the blink-blink kit...
Thank you to those of you who agree to me that they could possibly look good. For those of you who don't, I appreciate your input as well. As time goes on, I'll finally come to a decision about what I do to the lights. It just seems to me that we're all so caught up in the age of rice that we're afraid to do anything to our cars, which would cause us to somehow slip our ***-end into the rice class.
