Cruise-In VII Veteran

Coolant fan question

Washed the vette today, '90 convertible. Now the coolant fans are running any time engine is running. They don't run with key in run position unless engine is running. Would getting something wet cause this? I did not wash engine, just exterior.

I don't see any relationship there. Check to make sure you didn't bump the a/c to the on position which turns the fans on.

I've got a different question about the fans. Do they both come on at the same time or are the sequential? I have only seen the driver's side fan come on when it gets hot. It cools everything down pretty quick by itself. Mine is also a 90 L98 convertible with an auto trans...
