Default AC and AIR delete help

Hi guys, I have a 84 vette. I replaced the crossfire with a modified dual plane intake and am running standalone megasquirt DFI.

I removed the AC and AIR pump, and now have the crank, waterpump, alt, and power steering pullies to spin. I was wondering if anyone had figured a way to work with this arrangement without relocated the alt to the pass side of the engine.

I was thinking about fabing up a tensioner to mount between the water pump and alt. A reverse rotation waterpump would solve all my problems.

ideas?

Hey 350,
I was just in the same boat and didn't want to spend the money on a pulley eliminator....I have a water pump from 7? -82 sbc normal rotation and mounted the alt w/ a moroso alt / header bkt kit and it works great. It's an 88 by the way. a little unorthodox but wtf. good luck

CFI-EFI had the same thought, I think I am going that route.

Could you possibly snap a few pictures of the setup and brackets?

Thanks for the help.

Yeah, I'll try to get some shots tomorrow and I'll look up the PN's for the bkts and belt length.

Well, I think I have this all figured out.....hope it works.
I have a Edelbrock victor Pump # 350-8812 ( jegs) and I mounted the Alternator with a moroso mount kit #710-63842 and an old style bkt that mounts to the header bolts. I had to modify it a little to line everything up but it works great. No tensioner or extra pulleys. The pic was in the early stages but hopefully it helps.

Do you know how important the coolant line is that goes to the rear of the intake??? I eliminated my heater and nobody could help me out with it so I just kept it hooked up. Anyways, good luck and if anyone has any advice please speak up. Thanks, Matt
oh yeah, I ended up with a 51" belt.

The rear line is a vent to let air/ steam out.
I have had mine deleted for 4 years .;no probs if you burp the cooling system properly.I have a brass plug in mine and just take it out when doing fresh refill.
