Knock at start up
'90 vert with 68k. At start up when engine is cold there is a knocking noise which seems to be coming from the engine compartment. The knocking noise only lasts for a minute or so and doesn't change with the rpms of the engine. The knocking noise is not discernible when the car is moving or at idle after initial start up. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

I would think you are getting a little bit of slow oil... meaning, the engine is COLD and the oil takes a moment to get upto the top.
The only other thought... the fans. They come on when the engine is first started, then turn off. I wonder if you have a bad fan blower?
