Default Front Tire Wear

I have a set of SZ50s with about 16K on them. There is plenty of tread left on them save for the outer edge of the front tires. I have noted this problem on several other C4s as well. Does this treadwear pattern result from factory specs or is there some other reason for it? I don't drive my car particularly hard, so I don't think it has anything to do with my driving habits.

Normal, because you can't rotate the tires on cars with different sizes.

The tread wear can come from many different possibilities. As indicated before, tire rotation is a factor and one of many possibilities.

Factory Alignment Specifications can be altered to adjust to driving conditions; such as concrete roads vs tar roads, how much curve is built into the roads, highway vs. local driving, etc. A good alignment mechanic will align the car and make necessary adjustments to the factory specs.
