Default Odd Noise when put in reverse? Bad Wheel Bearing?

Whenever I'm backing up, not pressing the gas but letting it idle back, my car makes a really odd noise...it sounds like...when you scrape a knife across a sharpening stone. I don't know what could cause this. When I drive it on a bumpy road there's a "clinking" sound, like a loose bolt, coming from my rear passenger wheel. Any ideas? :(

just to be sure you found the problem, jack it up, try to move the wheel, although sometimes if it's the inner bearing, you wont feel much play ...... the "clinking " sound is a give away, though :troll

Before you go through all of that...check your brake pads. Sometimes they wear funny and make that grinding noise in reverse but sound fine going forward.
