I was checking out the accuracy of the analog/digital displays and noticed that the oil temp analog is way low.It reads 120 when the oil is 190.It moves but is inaccurate.Any ideas as to why?

How do you know it's reading 120? The analog gauge starts at the first mark reading 100, the second is 215, the third is 250, the fourth is 285 and the last is 320.
As long as the needle is in the area of the second mark(from the left), I wouldn't worry too much.
I see the temps Mojo and divided it correctly it never makes it to the second mark and barely makes it near half way there. If it is the sending unit wish I would have caught it before the intake was fixed.I assume like the coolant there are 2 sensors 1 for digital and 1 for the analog gauge correct? And the one for this is under the EGR?
I am pretty sure the digital is OK it runs about 10 deg hotter than coolant and has been since I got it.
I know that the sensor for the analog oil temp guage is mounted in the block above the oil filter. LT-1)......It's a real bi**ch to get a wrench on due to the large ground bolt along side the sensor.
Yep just what I figured. It would have been easy to do with the intake off.Murphy is lurking here......
Well if you feel real ambious, you can pull the left side cat + O 2 wire (total of 6 bolts) . That will allow the room to get up in there. Pulling the inner fender panel still won't allow you to get at the ground bolt. If it wasn't for that, it would be a pice of cake. Anyway, I was able to get the ground bolt out from underneath then got a deep well socket over the sensor.
My 93 has same issue........needle says ~100, digital sez 200 or so (~=coolant). I will replace the sensor, but can anyone confirm the gauges don't share the same sensor (in which case the cluster is bad). Otherwise a perfect car.
Update--> I ordered the sensor $30. Using the service manual as a guide, I jumpered the green/white wire to the black ground wire on the pigtail connector at sensor. IGN on, the oil temp analog gauge pegged to the right. So I think my sensor is bad as it never went but just a bit past 100 before when water temp was ~200. Cluster is good. If you do this, you will get some lights on dash display while pigtail is disconnected-no worry they will go away when reattached. Digital has always been fine-so I must say that the sensor has two resistors in it as the book shows. Anyway, the job is supposed to be tough and it looks it-I will get the part and report.
Update--> I didn't put it on-too hard for me and helper. Seems, I would have to remove all pipes from mani to tail to get at the sensor because my cat has studs, not bolts-it won't just drop out. So, I will wait till I have an major exhaust job done and access is easier.
