I have a 1990 vette with the L98 and can't get rid of a code 43. I cleaned all of the grounds, and replaced the ecm to no avail. The service manuals says that there should be between 4 and 6 volts at the knock sensor, and I keep getting 13 volts. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
When does the code come on and what does the car do/behave like?
Reason im asking is because I had a similar problem some time back that turned out to be a knock sensor not installed far enough inside.
Theres also a module on the side of the blower motor area(passenger side) that may cause this problem, but let me get back to you on that.
IM sure the others will post in soon.

My FSM doesn't call for a check of the volts at the knock sensor.

the engine light comes on about 30 seconds after starting the car. The engine isn't running as smooth as it used to, and it doesn't have the power it used to.
my service manual says to use a scan tool to see what the knock sensor is doing. I don't have a scanner. The voltage check is mentioned in a service manual I have for my 1992 camaro with the L98.
