Anti-freeze leak help
The only notable things done to it were the full tune up in June along with a complete radiator flush and refill. Car is an all original 96' CE LT4. I believe all the hoses are original. Car has 60,000 miles on it.
Time line of events........
June 05' - Replace plugs, wires, coil, TB bypass, Clean TB (removed and cleaned, installed new gaskets), Radiator flush, over flow removed and cleaned, refilled.
June 05' - October 05' - Drove occasionally, put on about 500 miles. No leaks present.
October 05' - Filled gas tank, parked car in garage last week of the month.
November 05' - car parked in garage. never turned on never touched. Temperature ranged between 30 - 50 degrees all month.
December 05' - Same as above except the tempeture ranged from -10 - 40 degrees.
January 06' - same as above, temperature range 25-45 degrees
car is parked in a non heated garage with no insulation. Illinois weather.
Here are some pics to help.
Thanks for any help you guys can give me!!!!!
my LT4 was 10 years old with only 20,000 miles, and I replaced the hoses. Rubber dry rots over time.
get a pressure tester, and see where it's leaking from.....
Time to get a little dirty! If your hoses are original I change them after you find the leak!
