Default Wanted: Seat inserts for race harness

I am looking for the plastic inserts for seats that make
the hole for race harnesses. I was told you get them from
Ford Motorsports, but I cant find them. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I found these doing a search, haven't used them so I have no idea how good they'd be. http://www.hmsmotorsport.com/store/s...c/seat-grommet Let us know if you find a good set, I was interested in doing that also.

Interesting. I wonder how hard it is to install. I guess you would have to have an interior guy do it. Might be cheaper then buying new seats.

Something like those would be the tidy way to do it. Nice tip.

I recently looked at pics of a C4 where an aftermarket seat had been
installed for the driver and the OEM seat had simply been modified by
using a saw or snips or some other blunt instrument to create openings
in the hard shell of the seat back.

If you do decide to make openings and if you haven't already done so,
take a look at the recommendations about how the shoulder straps
should be positioned. Wouldn't hurt to keep in mind that someone else
longer in the body might sit in there in the future, too.

JMHO but, those look like they would be too close together to get a good cinch on the belts, and not take your head off.
