Default Wiring questions....

Ok...I'm running a stand alone on my '95 blown Lt-1. It's street and most of the time strip car. I'm going to install 12-point rollcage and since i'm going to take the dash out, i want to replace to old wiring with a 18 circuit painless wiring kit. I did eliminate ABS, ASR, airbags, powerseats...in other words....EVERYTHING. Also i want to take the stock ecu out, since it's not controlling anything regarding the engine. I just want to keep the power windows, powerlocks, turn signals...etc etc. My question is, how can i keep the stock guages??? I don't want to swith to autometer guages yet, but, if there's no way out i'll put them in the car. But my first choice is keeping the stock guages. Do the stock guages work 'through' the stock ecu??

I think all of the stock guages are fed through the Central Control Module althiugh the tach and speedo may be routed through the ECM first. I will check my 92 FSM tonight and let you know
